WHAT IS TUKUA?
To enhance creativity and innovation in Manukau,
and see our people know and grow in their potential,
Tukua supports creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs to thrive!
It is an active community of innovators and entrepreneurs
led by Tikanga Maori and Pasifika values.
Fostering connections, peer support, knowledge sharing, and instilling a growth mindset
not only enhances the individual but also their whanau and community.
Tukua is a journey of education and growth that supports and encourages
our people to overcome limitations and realize their dreams.
TUKUA IS FOR

Have a creative talent, and a desire to make it in this world using what you've got?
Being creative is hard work in Aotearoa, and even harder for those of us with no money, and low financial literacy, behind us.
Tukua is for the creators.
CREATORS

Have a passion and a purpose? A burning cause you are willing to fight for? A dream to see a change? Our world needs innovators, especially our Maori and Pasifika innovators.
Tukua is for the innovators
INNOVATORS

Have a great idea you want to bring to life? Know that you can help your whanau by building a business? Learning to take what you have and turn it into a fully-fledged business isn't easy, easy to mess up, and hard to know where to start.
Tukua is for the entrepreneurs

The Akina Foundation commissioned us to create a resource for The Impact Initiative, sharing the insights and learnings we have gained from building the Tukua whanau over the past two years.
We created a 5 episode podcast Mini-Series, and a shareable A3 resource for other Social Shifters, released July 2020.
FUND & FLOW
Following the COVID lockdown we put out a 2 Episode Webinar series called Fund and Flow, check out the two webinars below:

SURVIVE & THRIVE
Level 4 Lockdown has eliminated one of our major revenue streams, which has put us in a really challenging position. Here's the simple strategy we have followed as a team to ensure we will not just get through this but thrive from it.

As a part of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2021, we took the much-loved
BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS and gave it a Reo Māori makeover.
We always use different tools and resources to help our creators, innovators and entrepreneurs build their pakihi, their business idea, and we've wanted to see more Māori, indigenous, Polynesian resources become available, so what better way to see that happen than to take up the challenge ourselves!
If you're not yet familiar with the Business Model Canvas - you can find out more at www.strategyzer.com
Over time we will build out more complimentary resources, video's, how to's, etc to go with Te Pepa Pakihi, if you have ideas, feedback, spot any mistakes, etc. we'd love to hear from you, and help us make Te Pepa Pakihi something all entrepreneurs can use!
