Made of Manukau promotes local, Maori and/or Pasifika brands to increase their exposure, while supporting the growth and development of retail-based entrepreneurs, including e-commerce store owners.
Made of Manukau provides pop-up retail experiences that originally turned Te Haa o Manukau into a vibrant retail experience during the Christmas shopping season.
First launched in 2018 where 21 local brands pulled in $10k in sales collectively over 7 days and in 2019, 23 brands made $23k in revenue.
Looking into 2020 and 2021, Made of Manukau retail experiences will also go outside of Manukau, opening up to different demographics and markets, while maximising economic opportunities such as the upcoming APEC and America’s Cup.
